About Eros Astillero Wedding Photographer

Eros Xerxes Lopez Astillero, in his mastery, redefines wedding photography on a new level.

First, he employs all the discipline of composition and rules of triangles in his wedding approaches. Second, he employs the best materials at the most reasonable prices. Third, he lowers his cost to make it more affordable to people in all walks of life without sacrificing quality and durability of product.

Eros Xerxes L. Astillero has been doing Professional Wedding Photography since 1987 at the age of 27.

Photography has been his hobby at the young age of 12, having his own black & white darkroom at home.

His passion & love for photography as an art is in his blood, his great grandfather is the late

Gregorio Melchor Alindao Paredes, the first Filipino Pensionado who studied industrial arts at Pennsylvania

School of Arts & Trade in the United States Of America (as recorded in Philippine History books). His industrial works of art can still be seen in Pensylvania U.S.A. In his time industrial arts was the equivalent of engineering, architecture and fine arts. During his tenure as one of the department heads of the Bureau of Public Works and Communications he designed the Philippine Post Office, the Philippine Women’s College (now Philippine Women’s University), the former congress, and the former senate buildings.

During the Japanese occupation Gregorio Melchor Alindao Paredes resisted to work under the Japanese Government being a U.S. trained educator. The grandmother of Eros Xerxes Astillero, a daughter of Don Gregorio, is the late Sarah Paz Paredes Astillero y. Castro, a painter, couture designer, and an alumni of Philippine Women’s University; a cousin of educator and senator Helena Tirona Benitez. Both women are grandmothers of Eros Xerxes Astillero. It is also notable to say that the late Architect Achilles Paredes, the former professor and Dean of Mapua Institute of Technology (now Mapua University) and former President of the Architects League of the Philippines is the younger brother of Sarah Paz Paredes Astillero y. Castro. Architects Eros Paredes and Noel Paredes of UST are his uncles.  At least ten notable architects and artists belongs to their present generation.

These days Eros Xerxes himself is still challenged and excited in his passion and love for the art of photography. He is touching lives and bringing his photographic masterpieces into the homes of newly wedded couples. He claims that his works are his monuments of art as an artist, that stays in the homes of his clients, to be cherished more than their lifetime.

Together with his wife Smyrna and his sons he manages Eros Photography.
